  1. Is inCampus.com really free?
    Yes, inCampus.com is absolutely free for student
  2. What is the Student Card on the top right corner?
    The Student Card is your information source that helps you navigate and personalize your browsing through inCampus. Here you will find your friend requests, your new messages, plus links to help you view and edit your profile, posts, Tracklist, and friends.
  3. What does the inCrowd designation mean?
    The inCrowd designation indicates that a person has been verified to have a valid college/university email meaning he/she is likely to be a student, faculty member, employee, or recent graduate of that college/university.
  4. How do I become part of the inCrowd at my Campus?
    To become part of the inCrowd at a campus, you must either register with a valid university email or go into your profile settings and click on the link (button?) to add inCrowd status. You will be asked for your valid college/university email at this time.

Registering for an Account

  1. Do I have to register to post a listing, or view others' profiles?
    You must be a registered user to contribute and post a listing, create your profile, and view others profiles. Registration is free, and takes only a few moments to complete.
  2. How do I get an inCampus account?
    On the top right hand side of the site you will find the “Join Now” button. That takes you to our registration page. Registration is free, fast, and easy and, after completing the process and selecting your username and password, you will be on your way to posting and browsing ads for and from your fellow students.
  3. Why have I not received a confirmation email after creating my account?
    In order to verify your email address, you will receive an automatic email asking you to click on the link provided to activate your account. If you haven’t received the confirmation, please wait a few moments and check again. If you still haven’t received a confirmation email, please check your Junk or Spam email folder. If the problem persists, please retry the registration process and make sure you have entered your correct email address. If you are still unable to register, please contact us at support@inCampus.com for assistance.

Selected Campus, inCrowd Campus, and Default Campus

  1. what is a difference between selected Campus, inCrowd Campus, and Default Campus?
    Selected Campus: Selected Campus could be any campus that you select from your home page. It provides you the ability to browse listings under that selected campus.
    Default Campus: This Campus is the campus that loads when you sign in. If you need to change your Default Campus, please go to Profile Setting and change your campus before posting a listing.
    inCrowd Campus: The inCrowd Campus is the campus that you have verified with us through providing us with your valid .edu email address for your school.
  2. How can I change my Selected Campus?
    Towards the top of the screen is a bar with your Selected Campus. Below the name of the campus, there is a link Change Campus. Click on that link. That will take you to a pop up where you can view another Campus. Choose the campus you would like to change to. This changes your Selected Campus, but does not update your Home Campus.

Posting, Editing, and Closing listings

  1. How do I post a listing?
    From the home page Click on the link “Post Your Stuff” and select the category you would like to post under. If browsing through categories, you can click on the “Post ____” link that is above the grey bar on the right hand side. Fill in information as appropriate (all fields with a red * are required). Please make sure you have read through the Terms and Conditions, and click the box at the bottom of the page to accept them. Click on the “Post!” button. As a reminder, you must be a registered user to post.
  2. How can I edit or delete my post?
    Click on the “My Posts” button along the top edge of the Student Card for a complete list of everything you have posted, broken down by the categories on the left hand side. You will find links to edit or delete your postings just to the right of each one.
  3. Can I publish my name, address, or phone number with my post?
    Yes, but it is optional for each unique posting. Click on the “Click here for more details” link at the bottom of the posting page to bring up these fields.
  4. Can I include photos and video with my post?
    Off course you can. Yes. You can post up to 4 photos with your post. Click on the “Click here to add more details” link and you can include any YouTube hosted video.
  5. Can I post an listing at multiple campuses?
    inCampus is designed for local trading and business purposes. While you are able to post different ads in multiple campuses, we encourage you to only post your ad in the relevant campuses, or the closest campuses to where you or your item is located.
  6. When posting an item, what is the difference between a listing campus and the location specified in the listing?
    The listing campus is the network where your listing is published. Meanwhile location is the actual physical location of the listing you are posting. In most cases these will be the same. However, in certain cases, such as a company in New York recruiting students at Florida State University or an international firm recruiting all US students, these will be different.
  7. How long will my post remain on inCampus?
    As long as you want for up to 90 days. When you are posting or editing an ad, you may enter how long you want the ad to remain on inCampus by clicking on the “Click here to add more details” link.
  8. How can I have my posting remain on inCampus for longer than 90 days?
    To prevent abuse from commercial posters, and prevent postings from remaining on the site after they are no longer available, we place a 90 day limit on all postings. If your item is still available after this 90 day limit, simply re-post it.
  9. Can I re-post a posting which has expired?
    Yes, any item posted to the site may be reposted after the posting has expired. After 90 days of expiration, we will delete the post from the system. Before that you can find it in your Archived Posts under My Post section.
  10. Can I re-post a posting which was removed?
    Please do not attempt to re-post a posting which was removed. Ads that violate the Terms and Conditions are subject to removal. If you feel that your item was removed incorrectly, then please contact us at support@inCampus.com.

Policies

  1. How can I report any spam or scam emails I receive?
    If you receive any scams, spam, or offensive emails sent through inCampus.com, please contact us at support@inCampus.com for assistance.
  2. Does inCampus offer any type of mediation between buyers and sellers?
    No, inCampus is strictly the entity providing a medium for communication between two local parties. inCampus is neither involved in the transaction, nor offers any type of verification of who a person is. If you have any questions or concerns about a transaction please contact the other party. For more information, please see the Terms and Conditions.
  3. Why was a listing removed from the site?
    Ads that violate the Terms and Conditions are subject to removal. If you feel that an item was removed incorrectly, please contact us at support@inCampus.com
  4. Are listings screened before they go on the site?
    Because the enormity of the site, we can't manually screen ads since we get many postings a day. For more information, please see the Terms and Conditions link in the footer.
  5. Are there any types of postings which are not allowed?
    Yes, these postings are listed in our Terms & Conditions page. They include any content:
    (a) in a category that is not appropriate.
    (b) that is harmful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, libelous, hateful, discriminatory, invasive to another’s privacy, or that impersonates a person, contains a personal attack or is otherwise unlawful.
    (c) that is sexually explicit in nature, obscene or pornographic.
    (d) that is false or misleading.
    (e) that could constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or violate any federal, state or local law or regulation, or encourage the use of a controlled substance.
    (f) that infringes the rights of another party.
    (g) that contains profanities or expletives.
    (h) that is encrypted, or contains any viruses, Trojan horses or other computer programming routines or elements that are intended to cause damage or interference to the Site, or with another’s system or data.
    (i) that discloses any personally identifying information about any person who has not explicitly consented to such disclosure.
    (j) that constitutes or includes any “junk mail,” “spam” or similar mass marketing commercial advertisements or announcements.
    (k) that is deemed unacceptable by www.inCampus.com in its sole ,and absolute, discretion.

    We always welcome suggestions and feedback at inCampus. Please email support@inCampus.com and let us know what are you thinking.
  3. My campus is not listed, can it be added?
    We tried our best to get all the campuses, and we are continually adding new ones to our site. To request a new campus, please email support@inCampus.com, and include details such as a name, website, domain email, etc.
